Plight of the Honey Bee

Wednesday, October 20 at the College of the Rockies Lecture Theatre, Room 250 between 7pm - 9:30pm there will be a free forum on the Plight of the Honey Bee.  As many people have heard there has been a serious collapse in honey bee colonies across North America. This is a serious concern since honey bees help pollinate many crops. The discussion will help raise public awareness of this extremely important issue, as well as explain some of the challenges and diseases facing honey bee survival. The forum is part of the BC Honey Producers Association Annual General Meeting which begins in Cranbrook on Oct 21 and runs through Oct 23 at the Heritage Inn.  If your interested you can still register on-line at http://www.bcbeekeepers.ca/
