The Tree of Life

With no more snow in sight (hopefully!) and a nice weekend upon us a lot of us will be planning our gardens and working in our yards.  If you are thinking of planting a tree or two this spring the City of Cranbrook is offering a  $50 rebate to homeowners who plant a tree in a number 10 pot or larger on their property.  Application Forms are available online http://www.cranbrook.ca/ or are available for pickup at city hall. In an urban setting trees are invaluable not only for their aesthetic appearance but they also produce oxygen, are carbon sinks, clean our air, provide shade, act as a windbreak, fight soil erosion, and can even increase your property value. Think about planting a tree this spring.
