Just Testing

Anyone in the vicinity of the Rec Plex parking area recently might have wondered what the sudden eruption of gushing water above the roof tops was.  It was just a fire drill but the sight was pretty spectacular.

In the Administration Updates for this Monday's Council meeting is the information about an order place by Cranbrook and Emergency Services for a 2011 Pierce Dash CF7 fireengine.  This new engine which sounds more like something that flies actually will be able to deliver water while being driven.  It was also good to note that the "frame and suspension systems of the new engine are suited to the elements and road conditions to which fire apparatus is subjected to in Cranbrook"

Also of note is the fact that Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services has now transitioned from call forward to full dispatch services for fourteen RDEK fire department clients.
