To be honest we are very surprised at the lack of issues that have come in to our mail address regarding this upcoming election. Is it that people don’t wish to reveal their email addresses or names? Is it that there are no issues? Is it that people are just tired of talking about the issues or maybe they are just looking forward to asking candidates directly?
If the latter is the case, don’t forget the candidates forum is this coming Tuesday, November 8th 5:30pm so if you want to be there to hear everyone bring a sandwich! It will be a long evening.
In the meantime if you have anything to comment on for others to start considering we invite you to share it here, anonymously if you wish. It would be wonderful to see a much better voter turnout at this election and for that to happen we need people to be excited about the possibilities and priorities concerning our town. Did you take part in the Cranbrook Connected Survey? Did you look at the results? Are those things important to you?
You can make a difference by knowing the candidates and voting. Next Advance poll is the day after the forum, November 9th
Any comments or items you would like to see added to the Issues tab at the top of this page? Comments received via the comment section here are completely anonymous unless you leave your real identity. We are confident some candidates read this blog so it is one way for them to read about what you may be wondering about.....and with any luck that issue will be addressed by them at the forum or via a comment.
