Opportunity for Farmers to turn in their unwanted pesticides

Farmers in the Interior, Kootenay and Okanagan regions are being invited to turn in their obsolete or unwanted agricultural pesticides at designated collection sites and dates between Oct. 15 and Nov. 1.

Kootenay Region

Oct. 31 - Creston - Truscott Farms, 3016 Hwy 3

Nov. 1 - Cranbrook - Top Crop Garden, Farm & Pet, 2101 Cranbrook St. North

This program is operated by CleanFARMS, an industry-led national not-for-profit agricultural waste management organization. It's the plant science industry's commitment to safely and responsibly collect obsolete pesticides at no cost to farmers.

The program is co-funded by the BC Agriculture Council (BCAC), through the Agriculture Environment and Wildlife Fund of the BC Investment Agriculture Foundation.
