Cranbrook Clean Bin Challenge Launch

Friday May 10th at 7:30 at the Studio Stage Door

Short presentations/Mingle/Good food.

Chance to win a free home composter!

Find out how to shrink the garbage you bring out to the curb to almost nothing! Get inspired by past Clean Bin challengers and see for yourself how little garbage they produced in a month.
Missed the Clean Bin Project Movie? No problem - sign out the DVD from the Cranbrook Public Library. Suitable for all ages. It's about a Vancouver couple who challenged themselves to live waste-free for a year – they did and then made an award-winning film about it.
Now it is Cranbrook's turn to try and reduce the amount we send to the landfill!
One easy way to shrink your garbage is to start a composting fruit and vegetable waste from your kitchen. Did you know that methane produced by decomposing organic matter in landfills accounts for six percent of BCs Green House Gas emissions? And what better time to start backyard composting is there than now?
