Profit Is Not Always the Point

We frequently hear that local government needs to do more to help sustain the businesses within a community.  This TED Talk turns that around.   "Business has to play its role in serving the the societies which actually sustain them."

  1. Did you know the non-profit sector represents $106 billion or 7.1% of the Canadian GDP (larger than the automotive or manufacturing industries)! This TED talk is a pretty good reframing of the way we think about society and charity and profit.
