'Mr. Speaker, the crisis in Canadian democracy is not that Canadians are voting more than once but that they are voting less than once. And this bill will... increase cynicism.'


'And:I think it undermines political resonsibility and civic understanding to refer to voters as customers. There is something fundamentally wrong with an elections act that talks about customer service when we're talking about voting. It's a right. It's not shopping.
