Call to Garden

Just a reminder, the first workshop of the season hosted at the Cranbrook Public Produce Garden is this Wednesday, May 14 from 6:30 - 8pm.
It's all about planning your garden, something that's easy to overlook in the flurry of spring warmth and sunshine, when many of us tend to just start throwing things in the ground because it's so exciting. The thing is - when you take the time to plan with your priorities in mind, the season tends to play out more smoothly (plus there's more of what you love come harvest time!).
This year we're building on the success of last year's workshops series. In response to feedback, we're preparing materials beforehand so that you'll be taking reference material home with you. The material presented is a combination of consultations with local gardeners, extensive research, and personal experience. In an effort to make this a more self-sustainable activity (ie, less reliance on funding from grants), there will be a charge of $10. Volunteer work trade options are available, please call us if that interests you.
or call Shannon at (250)427-7981

Bring a mug, there will be tea to enjoy.
